Barnacles live in salt water but
sometimes durring the day they go to fresh water.
They eat by opening and closing
their shell then their appendages sweep in plankton and detritus.
Fun facts
1. They're sensitive to cold and dry weather.
2. Some that don't live in the deep grow only a few mm long. Barnacles that live in the deep grow about 80mm.
They don't move.
